Vita M.Sc. Meike Kespohl
She studied Human Biology with a focus on Infection Biology at the Philipps University in Marburg. She performed both her bachelor and her master thesis work under supervision of Ulrich Steinhoff at in the group 'Mucosal Immunology' at the Institute for Medical Microbiology and Hospital Hygiene (Marburg). In her research project, she investigated the influence of microbial metabolites on the differentiation of CD4+ T cells. As a member of ZIBI graduate school, she joined the Beling group on proteostasis and immunobiology at the Institute for Biochemistry at the Charité university hospital Berlin in October 2014. Her doctoral thesis aims to characterize the impact of ISG15 system on the coxsackievirus B3 life cycle (Project funding by DFG SPP 1365 to AV, DFG VO1602/5-1 an AV).
