Vita Dr. rer. medic. Dorota Respondek
She attended the Bachelor's program of Biotechnology at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland. With the support of a scholarship from Haniel-Foundation and Klaus Tschira-Foundation "Go West" program, she graduated in 2011 in "Molecular Bioengineering" at Technische Universität Dresden. In 2011 she accomplished her Master's thesis under supervision of Prof. Kettenmann in the Cellular Neuroscience group at Max Delbrück Center in Berlin. Her research project aimed to study microglia and glioblastoma cells migration toward tumor-secreted compounds in vitro. Since 2012, she is a PhD student in the group Proteostasis und Immunbiology of Prof. Dr. med. Antje Beling at Institute for Biochemistry at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Her research were supported in 2013-2015 by the PhD scholarship from the Sonnenfeld-foundation. Her PhD project aims to characterize the function of the particular proteasomal regulatory complex and its role during Coxsackievirus B3 infection.
